Edit with me

Hey guys! We finished filming our commercial and now it is time to edit. We all decided to split the workload of our commercial evenly so I am editing it. We discussed how we wanted each clip to edited, from transitions to background music to sound effects. Everyone came up with great ideas and it was my turn to put it all together. I used iMovie to edit our commercial since it was the simplest but most effective method. First I imported all the clips we filmed. Then I shortened them so our commercial would be under 30 seconds. After I had all the clips together in order I had to get creative. First I decided that since the concept of our commercial was based on a girl who realizes Jansport is the superior backpack brand, the first half of our commercial would have a gloomy simple look. I used the camo and romantic filter to differentiate between the two clips. After she gets her new backpack the scene changes to a more cheerful setting. Then I added transitions to make the clips flow smoothly. I also added an intro to make it look more like the commercials you see on tv. After all of that was done I added a screen with a custom Jansport logo Addison created. I did a smooth fade transition from the last clip to the Jansport screen. After reviewing with the other members of my group we decided that this is the final draft of our commercial. I am so excited to have done a project like this.
