Editing blog: rough cut
Hey, guys welcome back to my blog! I am so happy I was able to film my blog in one day. Since I finished so early I decided to take a look at the clips I had and see how I could edit them before I added the music and transitions. First I put all the clips into iMovie. Initially, my video was about 4 minutes long. I cut down each clip to the main part I needed for my video. For the scenes taken downstairs, I was able to shorten the walking time used. In some of the scenes, I used almost all of the footage recorded so there wasn't much to edit. I was able to shorten it to a minute and thirty seconds. This is still too long for my music video so I will have to go back and see how I can transition each scene so my video is under a minute and fifteen seconds. I sped up some of the scenes to make them shorter. In the scene where she walked into the room and proceeded to the bathroom, I noticed she could be moving a little faster. I used iMovie to speed up the scene but still make it natural. I also sped up the scene where he checked her phone. When I edit my movie more in detail I will make the scenes where he checks her phone to where he confronts her very fast pace to go with the song and overall theme of the movie. I will also edit the lighting and contrast in some scenes. I still need to decide what traditions I will use between scenes. Tomorrow I plan to finish editing my music video. I will add my transitions and lighting and add anything else I think will improve my overall project. I'll be sure to update you all again, bye guys!
